Hi, I'm Max, a long, low-to-the-ground fellow looking for a new home. I'm
a rare mix of Basset Hound and Belgian Malinois; my mom is a Basset, and my personality is like hers, but I have the coat color of my Malinois dad. I had to stay in a cage for a lot of my first year, and I'm glad to be out of there! I just got neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations, so I'm ready to start interviewing candidates for my new family. I'm not yet housetrained, but I'm smart and a quick study, so I hope I'll have that all figured out in a jiffy. Also, right now I'm a bit fearful of new people initially, although I warm up pretty well when I realize that petting and scratches behind my ears might happen once I settle down.
